Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay conducts Common Entrance Examination for Design (CEED) to offer admission to aspirants in Master of Design (MDes) and PhD programmes. On the basis of a candidate’s score in CEED exam, he/she can secure admission in MDes course on offer at IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IISc Bangalore, IIT Guwahati, IIT Kanpur, IIT Hyderabad, IIITDM Jabalpur and UPES Dehradun and PhD programme on offer at IISc Bangalore, IIT Bombay, IIT Hyderabad and IIT Kanpur.
Aspirants who have qualified GATE will also be considered for admission in MDes programmes offered at IISc Bangalore and IIT Kanpur.
CEED exam will comprise of two parts – A and B. CEED exam is conducted with an objective of assessing an aspirant’s aptitude for design. Thus, the exam pattern of CEED comprises of questions to test a candidate’s visual perception ability, creativity, drawing skills, logical reasoning, as well as communication skills. Candidates need to note that their CEED scores will be valid for a year from the date of declaration of results.
