Common Proficiency Test commonly known as CA CPT is an entry level test conducted by ICAI for Chartered Accountancy course. CA CPT is conducted twice every year i.e., in June and December respectively. CPT is an offline mode exam conducted in two sessions. There are 200 objective type questions for a total of 200 marks.
CPT is open for candidates who have registered to Common Proficiency Course with the Board of Studies of the Institute and have appeared or passed or going to appear in April/May, current year in 12th class or equivalent recognized examination. This is an objective type examination of 200 marks comprising of four sections.
Paper 1 : Principles and Practices of Accounting.
Paper 2 (Part I) : Mercantile Laws.
Paper 2 (Part II) : General English.
Paper 3 (Section A) : Business Mathematics and Logical Reasoning.
Paper 3 (Section B) : Business Statistics.
Paper 4 (Part I) : Business Economics.
